The launch event, held at Tanoa Plaza, featured Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Communications Manoa Kamikamica as the chief guest.

This strategic plan encompasses four essential pillars: Regulatory Effectiveness, Service Delivery, Advocacy, and Financial Sustainability, which are further supported by strategic enablers focused on People and Governance, Processes, and Technology. The primary aim of this initiative is to address the digital divide, encourage innovation, and elevate Fiji’s status as the leading ICT hub in the Pacific region.

During the launch, Mr. Kamikamica emphasized that the strategic plan exemplifies TAF’s commitment to strengthening the telecommunications sector. He articulated a vision for a digitally connected Fiji, ensuring that every citizen has equal access to technology and the opportunities it presents. He expressed confidence that TAF would effectively collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation of the plan.

TAF’s chairman, David Eyre, expressed enthusiasm for the plan, emphasizing its potential to foster a digitally inclusive future for Fiji. He noted that, with the support of various stakeholders, TAF is poised to transform aspirations into tangible benefits for the people of Fiji.

Prit Chand, TAF’s chief executive officer, highlighted the plan as a clear and actionable roadmap for revolutionizing the telecommunications sector.
