Fiji has officially been designated as the host country for the OFC Futsal Men’s Cup 2025, marking a change from its previous location in Honiara, Solomon Islands. The tournament will take place from September 20 to 24, 2025, at the Vodafone Arena in Suva, with the Fiji Football Association taking charge of the event’s organization.

This decision was announced by the OFC Executive Committee after thorough deliberation concerning logistical considerations and extensive discussions with relevant Member Associations.

Fiji’s role as a host highlights the nation’s emerging stature as a prominent center for futsal in the region. In addition to hosting the Futsal Men’s Cup, Fiji is also set to welcome the Futsal Men’s Champions League from November 16 to 23, again at the Vodafone Arena, further enhancing its reputation within the arena of futsal.

Such events not only bolster Fiji’s image in international sports but also provide an opportunity for local supporters to engage with high-level competition, potentially fostering a greater passion for futsal among younger players. The influx of international teams can also facilitate cultural exchange and sportsmanship, contributing to the development of futsal in the Pacific.

The anticipation surrounding these tournaments is a positive reflection of Fiji’s commitment and capability in hosting significant sporting events, and it promises an exciting atmosphere for both players and fans alike.
