Fiji has been awarded the opportunity to host the upcoming PINA Summit in 2026. The decision was made during the PINA annual general meeting held in Okioki Mai, Niue, earlier today. Stanley Simpson, the general secretary of the Fiji Media Association, expressed his enthusiasm for the outcome, stating, “We all know what the Fijian media has gone through, and we want to host the Pacific Media Summit to communicate to the world and the rest of the Pacific that Fiji is back.” He emphasized the goal of utilizing this summit to usher in a new era for media in Fiji. The Summit is scheduled to take place in Savusavu.
