Naroon Buksh’s Kings Boxing Promotion is making a significant return after a five-year break, with an electrifying lineup of 11 bouts scheduled for July 19, 2025, at the Vodafone Arena in Suva. This anticipated event will feature a historic WBA title fight, the first of its kind in Fiji, where featherweight champion Junior Binnu Singh will take on Australia’s Runqi Zhou.

During a recent contract signing event in Suva, Buksh emphasized the importance of this event for the growth of boxing in Fiji. “I think boxing needs to grow in the country, and bringing this kind of fights will give awareness and opportunity to upcoming boxers. We hope to do more in the future,” he stated.

The fight card promises an exhilarating night, showcasing matchups that include Mikaele Ravalaca vs. Junior Raka for the NZPBF Oriental Pac Super Feather Weight title and James Singh vs. Semi Daloloma for the BCF Heavy Weight title. Other bouts feature talented fighters like Sera Bolatini against Connie Chan, Ratu Rakuro facing Dylan Archer, and several others across different weight classes.

This event adds to the momentum for Fijian boxing, echoing recent developments where WBA Oceania President Ferlin Marsh expressed optimism about future title fights in Fiji. Last year, there were significant discussions surrounding the participation of local talents in international events, enhancing Fiji’s reputation as a notable venue for boxing.

The upcoming Kings Boxing Promotions event is more than just a fight night; it represents a huge step forward for the sport in Fiji, fostering hope and growth for local fighters and boxing enthusiasts alike. It highlights the potential for Fiji to become a hub for boxing in the South Pacific, encouraging a new generation of talent to compete on both local and international stages. With the backing of notable boxing figures and organizations, the future looks bright for Fiji’s boxing community.
