The postponed Swire Shipping 42nd Fiji Senior Golfer’s Association Open will take place today at the Fiji Golf Club located in Vatuwaqa, Suva.
On the first day of competition, participants will engage in a stroke play event featuring nearest to the pin challenges on the 2nd hole and the second shot on the 4th hole. The second day will focus on the nearest to the pin competition on the 12th hole and the second shot on the 17th hole, while the final day will include nearest to the pin events on the 5th and 16th holes.
Golfers will vie for the Shield and Tanoa trophies, along with additional prizes. Participants aged 70 and above will have the opportunity to compete for the Jack Akbar Trophy throughout the three-day event.
Registration is open from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM, with a shotgun start scheduled for 12:00 PM. Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka is anticipated to participate in the tournament as well.
The competition will conclude on Thursday, featuring a diverse draw of players across various tees.
