The Ministry of Health and Medical Services has announced the successful seizure of 250 various flavored vape products during a coordinated raid on a company located in Namaka, Nadi, yesterday morning. This operation was a joint effort involving the Fiji Revenue & Customs Service, the Fiji Police Force, the Nadi Health Office, and the Tobacco Control & Enforcement Unit.

The raid was prompted by allegations that the company was engaging in the illegal importation and distribution of vape products without the required license from the Ministry of Health. This decisive action underscores the government’s commitment to combating the illicit tobacco and vaping trade in Fiji, a significant public health concern.

Officials emphasized that operations like these are imperative for ensuring compliance with health regulations and protecting the community from unregulated products that may pose health risks. The successful raid indicates an ongoing effort to enhance public health measures and enforce the laws surrounding tobacco and vaping products in the region, reflecting a broader initiative to safeguard the health of the population.
