Fiji Secures Major Funding for Critical Bridge Upgrades!

The Fijian Cabinet has approved loan and grant agreements with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) as part of the Fiji Critical Bridges Resilience Project. This initiative will provide Fiji with substantial financial support, totaling USD 134.5 million (around FJD 304.4 million). The financing breakdown includes USD 120.0 million (approximately FJD 271.6 million) as concessional loan financing, alongside USD 14.5 million (approximately FJD 32.8 million) designated as grant funding.

Under this project, the Fiji Roads Authority has identified four bridges that will be replaced, enhancing infrastructure resilience across the country. The project is expected to reach completion by 2031, marking a significant step forward for Fiji’s transportation system.
