The Fijian Cabinet has approved loan and grant agreements with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) aimed at enhancing infrastructure through the Fiji – Critical Bridges Resilience Project. This initiative will provide a total funding of USD 134.5 million (around FJD 304.4 million), which includes USD 120 million (approximately FJD 271.6 million) in concessional loan financing and USD 14.5 million (approximately FJD 32.8 million) in grant financing.
Under this project, the Fiji Roads Authority has identified four bridges slated for replacement, addressing critical infrastructure needs that will enhance connectivity and safety within the region.
The expected completion date for the project is set for 2031, promising long-term improvements for the Fijian community.
