The Fijian government has approved loan and grant agreements with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) as part of the Fiji – Critical Bridges Resilience Project. This initiative will secure a total funding of USD 134.5 million (approximately FJD 304.4 million). Of this amount, USD 120 million (around FJD 271.6 million) will be provided as concessional loan financing, while USD 14.5 million (approximately FJD 32.8 million) will be offered as grants.
The Fiji Roads Authority has identified four bridges that will be replaced under this significant project, which aims to enhance the resilience of critical infrastructure in Fiji. The project is slated for completion in 2031.
