The Fijian Cabinet has approved important loan and grant agreements with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) as part of the Fiji Critical Bridges Resilience Project. This initiative will secure a total of USD 134.5 million (around FJD 304.4 million) in funding, which includes USD 120 million (approximately FJD 271.6 million) designated for concessional loans and USD 14.5 million (about FJD 32.8 million) allocated as grant funding.
The Fiji Roads Authority has identified four bridges that will be replaced under this project, which aims to enhance the resilience and infrastructure of transportation in Fiji. The project is expected to reach completion by the year 2031.
