Marist Brothers High School and Drasa Avenue School have showcased their exceptional swimming talent at the 2025 National Schools Age Group Swimming Championships, dominating the men’s and women’s divisions respectively. This two-day event took place at the Aquatic Centre in Suva, where Marist Brothers excelled by winning 21 gold medals, alongside 10 silver and 6 bronze medals, successfully securing the overall title in the men’s category.

Swami Vivekananda College performed impressively as well, finishing in second place with 14 gold, 12 silver, and 6 bronze medals. Natabua High School closely followed in third, with a commendable tally of 10 gold, 9 silver, and 10 bronze medals.

On the women’s side, Drasa Avenue School emerged as the overall champion by clinching 15 gold, 13 silver, and 8 bronze medals. Saint Joseph’s Secondary School secured the second position with their collection of 14 gold, 10 silver, and 7 bronze medals, while Swami Vivekananda College managed to, again, earn third place, with 9 gold, 8 silver, and 10 bronze medals.

These championships not only highlighted the depth of swimming talent among Fiji’s youth but also fostered camaraderie and school spirit. The excitement experienced throughout the competition reflects a promising future for young athletes in Fiji, underscoring the importance of nurturing talent within educational institutions.
