The Vodafone Fiji Schoolboys U18 team secured a victory over their Australian counterparts for the second time, winning 34-25 at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka. After suffering a 26-14 defeat last week, the Australian team aimed for redemption and initially took a 10-0 lead with a converted try and a penalty.
However, the Fijian team responded powerfully, scoring three tries from Waisake Vakacere, Raymond Navunikaba, and Ratu Epeli Roseruvakula, along with a penalty from Isikeli Bari, establishing a 22-10 lead by halftime.
In the second half, the Australian Schoolboys came back with determination, scoring ten points to reduce their deficit to just two. Nevertheless, wingers Nathan Stephens and Asaeli Gade added two further tries for Fiji, ultimately securing the win and the two-match series victory.
