The Vodafone Fiji Schoolboys U18 team triumphed over their Australian rivals for the second time, securing a 34-25 victory at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka. After losing 26-14 to Fiji last week, the Australian side aimed for a comeback and initially took a 10-0 lead with a converted try and a penalty.
However, the Fiji Schoolboys quickly responded, scoring three tries by Waisake Vakacere, Raymond Navunikaba, and Ratu Epeli Roseruvakula, along with a penalty kick from Isikeli Bari, ending the first half with a commanding 22-10 lead.
Entering the second half, the Australian Schoolboys showed renewed determination and managed to close the gap with ten more points, bringing the score to just two points behind. The match concluded with tries from winger Nathan Stephens and Asaeli Gade, allowing Fiji to win the two-match series.
