The Fiji Schoolboys Under-18 rugby team has etched its name in history by defeating the Australian Schoolboys 26-14, marking the first-ever victory for a Fiji under-18 team against their Australian rivals.
Team captain Anare Tabakaucoro expressed that their rigorous preparation and efforts had ultimately paid off. Meanwhile, Australian captain Edward Baxter pointed out the difficulties faced by his team due to a short turnaround, given that they arrived just the night before the match.
The Fijian team demonstrated their prowess on the field by scoring four tries compared to the two tries made by the Australians, clinching a remarkable victory.
Their next match is scheduled for Tuesday at 6 PM at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka.
