Waisake Vakacere, a dynamic hooker from Queen Victoria School, is ready to take the pitch this Saturday as the Fiji schoolboys prepare to face the Australia schoolboys in a highly anticipated rugby match at Lawaqa Park, set to kick off at 6 PM.
Discussing the team’s preparations, Vakacere expressed confidence in their performance against the Australian team. “The boys are preparing well for the game. We understand some key factors that Australia will target, and we’re getting ready for that. Everyone is committed to giving their all on the field,” he stated.
Vakacere, who also played a pivotal role in the victorious QVS Vodafone Super Deans U18 team, highlighted the significance of team cohesion, especially as 15 players from QVS form the core of the squad. “Our main focus is to integrate well with the boys from other schools. We are all excited about the match on Saturday,” he added.
He and his teammates are conscious of the challenges presented by Australia but are resolute in their readiness. “We recognize the obstacles that Australia will bring onto the field, but we are prepared for that.”
The Fiji schoolboys are aiming for a strong showing in the match, hoping to overcome their Australian counterparts and showcase their skills on an international platform.
