Waisake Vakacere, the dynamic hooker from Queen Victoria School, is ready to take the field this Saturday as the Fiji schoolboys prepare to clash with the Australian schoolboys in a highly anticipated rugby match at Lawaqa Park, scheduled to kick off at 6 PM.
Discussing the team’s preparation, Vakacere expressed confidence in their readiness for the match against the visitors. “The boys are preparing well for the game. We know some key factors Australia will target, and we’re gearing up for that. Everyone will give their 110 percent on the field,” he stated.
Vakacere was a key player in the victorious QVS Vodafone Super Deans U18 team, and with 15 players from QVS making up the core of the squad, he emphasized the importance of team chemistry as they integrate with players from other schools. “The main focus is to blend well with the boys from other schools. We’re all looking forward to the match on Saturday,” he added.
While aware of the challenges posed by the Australian team, Vakacere remained optimistic about their preparation. “We are aware of the challenge Australia will bring on the field, but we are prepared for that,” he affirmed.
The Fiji schoolboys are aiming for a strong performance, hoping to overcome the Australian side and demonstrate their talent on the international stage.
