Byrne expressed admiration for players including Tevita Ikanivere, Ponipate Loganimasi, Motikiai Murray, Selestino Ravutaumada, and Etonia Waqa, highlighting their contributions to the game.
Byrne noted Ikanivere’s remarkable ability to alter the course of matches when he took the field. “I’m really impressed with his contribution when he’s come on in the game to change the shape of the game,” Byrne remarked. Regarding Motikiai Murray, Byrne emphasized the flanker’s exceptional displays, indicating that he is now firmly on the national team’s radar.
The coach also praised the impact of Loganimasi and Ravutaumada, remarking that they have both had outstanding moments in the Super Rugby. “Selestino looks really solid, all these boys have done well,” he added.
