The Fiji Rugby Union has announced that Saiasi Fuli, the head coach of Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s, will be concluding his contract in December of this year. Following discussions with Fuli, the board of trustees has decided to advertise for a new coach who can guide the women’s team into its next phase.
FRU’s Interim Chairman, Peter Mazey, stated that the new coach will be responsible for developing and implementing a High Performance Strategy as well as selecting the team for the forthcoming HSBC 7s series program.
Mazey expressed gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of the Paris 2024 Rugby 7s competition, acknowledging the vital role played by coaches, players, and staff in ensuring the event’s success. He emphasized the organization’s commitment to an exciting journey ahead in pursuit of excellence on the global stage.
