BJ Mather has resigned from his position as General Manager of the Fiji Rugby Union High-Performance Unit due to personal commitments. Peter Mazey, Chairman of the FRU Trust Board, confirmed Mather’s departure and expressed his intention to discuss the situation further. Mather recently accompanied the Flying Fijians during the Pacific Nations Cup finals.

Bill Gadolo will serve as Acting HPU General Manager in the interim. Mazey noted that the position would be advertised since it is funded by World Rugby. He stated, “We are obliged to advertise the position because it’s a World Rugby paid role. When advertised, I hope Bill takes over, as he has been BJ’s understudy, as well as Simon’s, and I’m happy to work with him.”
