The Fiji Rugby Union has reached a final decision regarding the future direction of the Fiji 7s program following an extensive evaluation of the team’s performances in the HSBC 7s Series and the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympics.
Interim Chairman Peter Mazey announced today that Osea Kolinisau will remain as the head coach of the Fiji Airways Fiji 7s team. Kolinisau’s tenure will extend for the next four years.
Mazey expressed confidence in Kolinisau, highlighting his impressive results over the past four months as evidence of his capability and vision for the team’s future. The union is optimistic about the potential of the Men’s Sevens Team under Kolinisau’s leadership, with a commitment to achieving gold at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics.
