The Coalition Government has fulfilled its promise to the Fiji rugby 7s players by awarding each member of the silver medal-winning team from the 2024 Paris Olympics a sum of $20,000. This initiative is part of a reward program introduced by the government in June, which offers $50,000 for gold medalists, $20,000 for those who win silver, and $10,000 for bronze medalists. The funds have been transferred to the Fiji Rugby Union, which will ensure the money is deposited directly into the players’ bank accounts. The Coalition Government congratulates the team on their achievement at the Paris Olympics and expresses anticipation for their future successes in the sport.
