Fiji rugby fans have much to celebrate as Viliame Mata made a remarkable debut for Bristol Bears, scoring a try in their impressive 48-24 victory over Harlequins in the Gallagher Premiership. Mata’s contribution highlights not only his talent but also the growing presence of Fijian players in top-tier rugby.
In addition to Mata’s success, centre Kalaveti Ravouvou also added to the Bears’ tally. Meanwhile, in the French Top 14, veteran player Levani Botia made his first outing for La Rochelle this season, although the team faced a defeat against Vannes, with a final score of 23-14. Utility back Seta Tuicuvu played a key role for Toulon in their triumph over Alivereti Duguivalu’s USA Perpignan, highlighting the continued impact Fijian players have on the European rugby scene.
