Fiji Rugby Union has announced that Saiasi Fuli’s contract as the head coach of the Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s will come to an end in December this year. Following discussions with Fuli, the board of trustees has decided to open the position for applications in search of a suitable candidate to lead the women’s team into its next phase.
Peter Mazey, FRU’s Interim Chairman, stated that the new coach will be responsible for developing and implementing a High Performance Strategy and will select the team for the upcoming HSBC 7s series program.
Mazey expressed gratitude to all who played a part in the success of the Paris 2024 Rugby 7s competition, highlighting the crucial role that coaches, players, and staff had in achieving this success. He conveyed optimism about the future, emphasizing their commitment to excellence on the global stage.
