The Fiji National Rugby League (FNRL) is in mourning following the death of Mr. Alivereti Dere, whom they hailed as a pioneer and legend of rugby league in Fiji. Former players, club members, officials, stakeholders, and supporters are invited to gather at the FNRL headquarters on Friday at 5 PM to discuss the funeral arrangements for Mr. Dere.

In a sign of respect for Mr. Dere, all FNRL development programs and activities will be paused until after his burial, underscoring the profound impact he had on the sport and its community.
