The Coalition Government has fulfilled its promise to the Fiji rugby 7s players by providing each member of the silver medal-winning team from the 2024 Paris Olympics with $20,000. This reward comes from an incentive program introduced by the government in June, which allocates $50,000 for gold medalists, $20,000 for silver medalists, and $10,000 for bronze medalists. The funds have been transferred to the Fiji Rugby Union, which will ensure the money is deposited directly into the players’ bank accounts. The government extends its heartfelt congratulations to the team for their achievement at the Paris Olympics and anticipates their continued success in the sport.
