The Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) disbursed a total of $10.4 million in salaries, Fiji National Provident Fund contributions, and allowances to its 210 employees during the 2020-2021 fiscal year, according to its recently presented annual report. The report reveals that the 18 key management personnel received a combined remuneration of $2 million, and board member Aptinko Vaurasi earned $11,500 within the same financial year.

Operating as a business, the FRA maintains corporate, finance, and program management structures to fulfill its responsibilities. The annual report specifies that the board determines the CEO’s remuneration, while the CEO decides employee salaries through a salary band system.

In total, the FRA allocated $9.8 million in salaries, along with $412,323 for FNPF contributions and $136,477 in allowances for its employees.
