Fiji Roads Authority Welcomes New CEO: What to Expect?

The Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) Board has announced the appointment of Apisai Ketenilagi as its new chief executive officer, effective January 2, 2025. Mr. Ketenilagi is set to serve a three-year term in this significant position.

FRA Board Chairman Atunaisa Nayago expressed confidence in Mr. Ketenilagi’s extensive experience and expertise, emphasizing that he will play a crucial role in enhancing the FRA’s performance. Nayago stated, “We are confident in Apisai’s ability to strengthen the FRA’s performance and deliver on our commitment to providing safe and sustainable infrastructure for Fiji.” He also highlighted the anticipation of Mr. Ketenilagi’s leadership in navigating the challenges present in the evolving infrastructure landscape of the country.

The Board extended its warmest congratulations to Mr. Ketenilagi and looks forward to collaborating to reach new achievements.

Mr. Ketenilagi boasts an impressive educational background, holding degrees in Highway Management and Engineering as well as Public Administration, alongside a Bachelor in Engineering and a Diploma in Civil Engineering. His reputation is solidified by his membership in several professional engineering institutes across Australia, the UK, the USA, Asia, and Australasia.

This appointment marks a hopeful step towards reinforcing infrastructure safety and sustainability in Fiji, aligning with the country’s objectives for growth and development.
