The Fiji Revenue and Customs Service (FRCS) has reported an impressive revenue collection of $1.169 billion during the period from August to November 2024. This figure exceeds initial forecasts by $178 million, highlighting a robust economic environment.

FRCS CEO Udit Singh attributed this success to strong performances across various critical sectors, bolstered by effective compliance initiatives implemented by the FRCS. He noted that the healthy revenue collections over the past four months reflect a surge in commercial activities throughout the economy.

The breakdown of monthly collections is as follows:
– In August, revenue totaled $291.9 million, surpassing forecasts by $53.5 million.
– September generated $290.9 million, exceeding expectations by $8.6 million.
– October saw a noteworthy $300 million in collections, with a positive variance of $24 million.
– Finally, November brought in $286.5 million, which was $18.9 million over forecasted expectations.
