In response, the team identified a pressing requirement for water supplies in evacuation centers, particularly in Nadi. Partnering with Frezco Beverages Pte Ltd, the Red Cross received a generous donation of 100 cartons of 1.5 liters of Fijian Artesian Water, aimed at assisting the affected families.

Volunteers from the Fiji Red Cross in Tavua are also making significant contributions by aiding families at the Tavua District School evacuation center. They are distributing dignity kits and essential supplies to relieve the hardships faced by these families.

Moreover, the volunteers are proactively conducting awareness sessions to educate the community on how to prevent illnesses such as Leptospirosis, Dengue Fever, Diarrhea, and Typhoid.

This proactive response shows the resilience and community spirit of both the Red Cross and the families they are aiding, providing hope and necessary support in challenging times.

Summary: The Fiji Red Cross Society is actively aiding communities affected by flooding in western Fiji by providing clean water, essential supplies, and health awareness sessions to prevent disease outbreaks, highlighting the importance of community support in crises.
