In a heartfelt gesture, residents affected by the recent floods in the Nawaka area and at evacuation centers were provided with hot meals, thanks to a group of caring individuals. Jese Bale took to social media to emphasize the importance of supporting those in need during this challenging time.
She expressed her concern for those suffering, stating, “While the rest of Fiji is bothered about other people’s ‘personal lives’ on social media, we the empathetic people are more worried about our people in this time suffering and in need of a hot meal and essentials.” Bale urged her fellow citizens to shift their focus, encouraging them to be the change they want to see in their community.
Joining her in this noble initiative was her 10-year-old son, Semisi Naevo, who assisted in distributing the food, showcasing that compassion can begin at a young age.
This act of kindness serves as a reminder that even in times of crisis, there are individuals and families ready to lend a helping hand, fostering a spirit of community and resilience. It emphasizes the collective strength of the Fijian people in overcoming adversity through solidarity and support for one another.
This heartwarming story not only highlights the spirit of giving but also encourages others to reflect on how they can contribute positively to their communities during trying times.
