Attorney-General Graham Leung will head Fiji’s delegation to Geneva, Switzerland, to participate in an interactive dialogue regarding Fiji’s State Report at the 48th session of the Universal Periodic Review Working Group scheduled for January 2025. This follows Cabinet’s approval of the submission of Fiji’s State Report to the Universal Working Group Secretariat.

The Universal Periodic Review (UPR) process, managed by the UPR Working Group, involves a periodic review of each member state’s human rights record every four to five years. Fiji’s last review took place in November 2019. The upcoming fourth review of Fiji will occur during the UPR Working Group’s 48th session in January 2025.
