Attorney-General Graham Leung will head Fiji’s delegation to Geneva, Switzerland, for an interactive dialogue concerning Fiji’s State Report during the 48th session of the Universal Periodic Review Working Group in January 2025. This follows the Cabinet’s approval of the submission of Fiji’s State Report to the Universal Working Group Secretariat.
The Universal Periodic Review (UPR) is a member state-led initiative that assesses the human rights records of countries every four to five years. Fiji was previously reviewed by the UPR Working Group in November 2019. The upcoming fourth review will occur during the January 2025 session of the UPR Working Group.
