Nadi and Suva have made significant progress in the Digicel Fiji Premier League standings following the conclusion of Round 13 matches yesterday. The Jetsetters secured the fourth position with 21 points after a narrow 1-0 victory over Nadroga at Lawaqa Park. Meanwhile, Flick Hygiene Suva climbed to eighth place with 12 points after a convincing 5-0 win over Tailevu Naitasiri.
The top three teams in the league remained unchanged, although Rewa and Lautoka both improved their point totals while Labasa lost ground. Extra Supermarket Rewa now holds a three-point lead with 30 points, while Extra Supermarket Labasa remains second with 27 points after suffering a 4-2 defeat against Lautoka.
The Flick Hygiene-sponsored Lautoka team has positioned itself in third place with 22 points. Rooster Chicken Ba dropped to fifth place with 19 points after a 2-2 draw against Flow Engineering Navua FC, who are close behind with 18 points.
Despite their loss to Nadi, Nadroga remains seventh with 14 points. Nasinu has fallen to ninth place following their defeat to Rewa, while Tailevu Naitasiri remains at the bottom of the table with just 8 points.
