The Fiji Powerlifting team delivered an outstanding performance at the Oceania Regional Powerlifting Championship, securing a remarkable total of 19 medals. Competing against some of the finest Powerlifters in the region, the team’s impressive achievements reflect their determination, skill, and hard work in preparation for this prestigious event.
Vivaan Patel made a significant debut in the Sub-Junior category, winning a gold medal, while Vinesh Chand earned a bronze medal in the U74kg Open category. Faga Varea shone in his first international competition, competing in the U93kg Open category and capturing silver medals in Squat, Bench, and Total. Muzammil Ali also impressed by securing bronze in the same weight class. Viliame Lagonilakeba faced tough competition in the U105kg class and secured a bronze medal, while Kurt Wise clinched silver in the U120kg Open category.
