The Fiji Police Force has issued a warning against the act of pointing laser lights at aircraft, stressing the significant risk it poses to the safety of passengers. This alert comes after discussions with civil aviation authorities regarding the improper use of laser pointers near airports.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Livai Driu highlighted the serious dangers associated with this behavior and urged the public to report any incidents to the nearest police station by calling 917 or to contact Crimestoppers at 919.
