The Fiji Police Force has issued a warning against the dangerous practice of pointing laser lights at aircraft, stressing the significant threat it poses to the safety of passengers. This warning comes after a recent discussion with civil aviation authorities concerning the inappropriate use of laser pointers in the vicinity of airports.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Livai Driu highlighted the serious risks associated with this behavior and called on anyone who witnesses such actions to report them to the nearest police station by calling 917 or to contact Crimestoppers at 919.
