The Fiji Police Force has announced the arrest of a man allegedly engaged in the sale and distribution of marijuana following a raid by the Southern Division’s Serious Organised Crime and Intelligence Department. This operation took place yesterday in Caubati, where a 40-year-old man was apprehended.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations (ACP) Livai Driu reported that the raid uncovered several dried branches and leaves believed to be marijuana, which were wrapped in foil. He emphasized the police force’s dedication to dismantling individuals or groups involved in drug trafficking as part of its role in the Counter Narcotics Framework.
The suspect is currently in custody while investigations are ongoing. Police are encouraging the public to report any information related to the illicit drug trade by contacting Crimestoppers at 919 or 917.
