Fiji Police Strike Back Against Drug Trade with Major Arrest

The Fiji Police Force announced that a raid by the Serious Organized Crime and Intelligence Department in the Southern Division has led to the arrest of a man suspected of selling and distributing marijuana. The operation took place yesterday.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations, Livai Driu, revealed that a 40-year-old man was arrested in Caubati during the search. The authorities discovered several dried branches and leaves believed to be marijuana, which were wrapped in foil.

ACP Driu emphasized the commitment of the Fiji Police Force to dismantle individuals and groups involved in drug-related activities as part of the Counter Narcotics Framework. The suspect remains in custody while investigations are ongoing.
