The Fiji Police Force has reported the arrest of a man suspected of selling and distributing marijuana following a raid by the Serious Organised Crime and Intelligence Department in the Southern Division. The operation took place yesterday in Caubati, where a 40-year-old man was taken into custody.

During the search, police discovered several dried branches and leaves believed to be marijuana, which were wrapped in foil. Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations (ACP) Livai Driu emphasized the commitment of the Fiji Police Force to combat drug-related activities as part of their Counter Narcotics Framework.

The suspect remains in custody while investigations are ongoing. Authorities are encouraging the public to provide any information related to illicit drug trade by contacting Crimestoppers at 919 or 917.
