The Fiji Police Force has issued a warning to the public against the act of pointing laser lights at airplanes, emphasizing that it jeopardizes the safety of everyone on board. Assistant Commissioner of Police – Operations (ACP) Livai Driu made this statement following a meeting with civil aviation officials where concerns about the misuse of laser pointers near airports were discussed. He stressed that targeting aircraft with laser lights poses a serious risk and urged anyone who witnesses such dangerous behavior to report it to their nearest police station by dialing 917 or to contact Crime Stoppers at 919.
