The Fiji Police Force has issued a warning to the public against the use of laser lights directed at aircraft, emphasizing the potential danger to the lives of passengers and crew. Assistant Commissioner of Police – Operations, Livai Driu, made this statement after a meeting with civil aviation officials earlier today. He expressed serious concern over the intentional and improper use of laser pointers near airports. Driu highlighted that pointing laser lights at planes jeopardizes the safety of everyone on board and urged anyone witnessing such actions to report them to the nearest police station by calling 917 or to Crime Stoppers at 919.
