Fiji Police Investigate Alarming Minibus Collision: What You Need to Know

The Fiji Police Force is currently investigating a serious accident that took place around midday on Friday. The incident involved a collision between a container trailer and a minibus carrying six passengers, near Lokuya Hill, past the Verata Junction along Kings Road, while heading towards Korovou Town in Tailevu North.

Both drivers, as well as all passengers in the minibus, were promptly transported to Korovou Hospital for medical attention. The police authorities are actively looking into the circumstances surrounding the collision.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Mitieli Divuana, who oversees traffic operations, has called on all public service vehicle (PSV) drivers to maintain high levels of vigilance while driving. He noted, “This is the second incident this week involving PSVs, and innocent passengers are becoming victims on our roads.”
