The head of the Fiji Police Force Reset Advisory Team, former New Zealand Police Commissioner Mike Bush, engaged in discussions with Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu yesterday as part of the final stage of consultations for the Reset initiative. This initiative is designed to offer practical guidance aimed at implementing key recommendations to bolster law enforcement in Fiji.

Bush highlighted that a principal goal of the Reset initiative is to rebuild public confidence in the police force, with a focus on enhancing ethics, integrity, and operational capabilities within the organization. Commissioner Tudravu expressed his support for this collaborative effort, underscoring a mutual dedication to upholding professionalism in policing.

In addition to Bush, the meeting included Australian Federal Police Senior Officer Suva, Detective Superintendent Grant Liddy, further illustrating the international support for meaningful reforms within the Fiji Police Force.

This initiative represents a significant step towards enhancing law enforcement practices in Fiji, fostering a safer environment for the community, and instilling greater trust in the police among citizens.

Overall, the Reset initiative not only aims to improve operational standards but also serves as a hopeful testament to the commitment of both local and international partners in pursuing excellence in policing.
