The Fiji Police Force has reported that swift action by a Police Dog Unit on patrol in Lautoka led to the arrest of a man suspected of theft. According to Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations (ACP) Livai Driu, K9 officers were on a patrol along Drasa Avenue when they encountered a situation where a woman had reported her mobile phone stolen. The officers promptly traced the suspect, a 25-year-old man, and managed to recover the stolen phone. ACP Driu noted that the suspect, who is a known offender, is currently in custody at the Lautoka Police Station as the investigation is ongoing.
