The Fiji Police Force has dismissed social media claims about a stabbing incident that allegedly took place during a performance at Albert Park last night.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Livai Driu stated that there were no reports of incidents requiring police intervention either last night or this morning, noting that officers were present at the concert venue from early evening until the event concluded.
A post on social media suggested a stabbing had occurred, raising concerns among the public. However, police officers on-site were promptly assigned to investigate the claim and confirmed that it was false.
ACP Driu emphasized that unfounded allegations circulating on social media can lead to unnecessary panic and urged the public to report any issues directly to the police for accurate investigation.
