The Fiji Police Force announced that a recent operation by the Serious Organized Crime and Intelligence Department in the Southern Division led to the arrest of a man suspected of selling and distributing marijuana. The raid took place yesterday in Caubati, where a 40-year-old individual was apprehended. During the search, authorities found several dried branches and leaves believed to be marijuana, which were wrapped in foil.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations Livai Driu emphasized the Fiji Police Force’s dedication to dismantling drug-related activities as part of the Counter Narcotics Framework. The suspect remains in custody as the investigation is ongoing. Police are encouraging the public to report any information regarding the illegal drug trade by contacting Crimestoppers at 919 or 917.
