Police officers are being reminded of their responsibility in disrupting and dismantling drug trafficking, and the Fiji Police Force will not tolerate any attempts by individuals involved in the drug trade to undermine their efforts.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations (ACP) Livai Driu emphasized this point following the arrest of a 31-year-old man in Caubati, who was apprehended with clear plastic bags containing white crystals believed to be methamphetamine, as well as dried leaves thought to be marijuana. During the arrest, the suspect allegedly tried to bribe a police officer.
ACP Driu assured the public that if there are any reports of police misconduct, appropriate disciplinary actions and both internal and criminal investigations will be initiated.
