Police officers are being reminded of their crucial role in combating drug supply, and the Fiji Police Force is firmly opposed to any attempts by individuals in the drug trade to undermine their efforts. Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations (ACP) Livai Driu emphasized this message following the arrest of a 31-year-old man in Caubati. The man was apprehended after police discovered clear plastic bags containing white crystals, suspected to be methamphetamine, as well as dried leaves, believed to be marijuana. During the arrest, he allegedly attempted to bribe a police officer with money. ACP Driu assured the public that any reports of police misconduct would be addressed swiftly, with appropriate disciplinary actions and legal proceedings undertaken.
