The Fiji Police Force announced that a raid carried out by the Serious Organised Crime and Intelligence Department in the Southern Division has led to the arrest of a man suspected of marijuana sale and distribution. The operation took place yesterday in Caubati, where a 40-year-old man was detained. During the search, officers uncovered several dried branches and leaves believed to be marijuana, wrapped in foil. Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations, Livai Driu, emphasized the Fiji Police Force’s commitment to disrupting narcotics activities as part of their Counter Narcotics Framework. The suspect remains in custody while investigations are ongoing. Authorities are encouraging the public to report information about illicit drug activities to Crimestoppers at 919 or 917.
