Fiji Pine Trust has unveiled a new logo as part of an initiative aimed at revitalizing its image with landowners and refocusing on its long-term objectives. Chairman Semi Degei stated that this rebranding represents a fresh start for the Trust, especially after facing concerns regarding its performance in recent years.
The new logo is not just a cosmetic change; it reflects the organization’s commitment to better serve the community. Degei pointed out that this marks the Trust’s third rebranding since 1999. The design was created during the Fiji Pine Trust Strategic Planning Workshop held earlier this year, which brought together stakeholders from the Itaukei Trust Fund, TLTB, the Ministry of Forestry, and the Fiji Pine Group.
At this workshop, a new mission, vision, and slogan were established to guide the Trust’s activities over the next five years. Degei emphasized that this rebranding is a foundational step towards rebuilding the Trust’s capacity before launching broader programs aimed at supporting landowners.
He expressed a commitment to creating generational wealth for pine landowners, likening the new vision to a lighthouse that will guide the Trust back to its essential duties. “The image of the Fiji Pine Trust in the past years has always been negative. I think changing the logo will change the face, and then with the capacity building and what’s been planned for the next five years, working with the strategic plan, this will allow us to build a generational wealth process for the next coming generation of landowners in the Fiji Pine industry,” Degei remarked.
Under this new guiding framework, the Trust aims to prioritize the welfare and interests of landowners, ensuring that their needs shape every decision as the organization moves forward. This proactive approach bodes well for enhancing relationships with landowners and fostering a sustainable future for the Fiji Pine industry.
